Summary
First and foremost, Covenant Presbyterian Church (CPC) is a Christian Church. We believe that Jesus Christ is the final revelation of the Living God to man. The true and lasting joy that many seek can only be found by being reconciled to our God and Father through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. We are part of the universal Church: the body of all believers who find redemption only through Jesus’ death and resurrection. We stand unashamedly on the supreme authority and sufficiency of the Bible. We seek to order our ministry, worship, and teaching by God’s inspired Word. It is our passion and delight to know Him, serve Him, and to make Him known. We are eager to help you understand more about Him and what it means to be a Christian. Also, we share a common heritage with those churches that uphold the central tenets of the reformed theological tradition and the Westminster Confession of Faith. These principle beliefs have served as a bond of unity between Christians from a diverse set of traditions; however, many of these central tenets are blurred in our age due to widespread doctrinal compromise and apathy. At CPC, we endeavor to recover, emphasize and assert anew our commitment to these essential Biblical truths. Finally, we are an active member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination formed in 1973. We are a church that is eager to serve you and our community by leading you in serving Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changes people from the inside out and gives us a radical new identity – we are freed from self-absorption and self-condemnation. Instead, a Christ-like love and desire to serve others grows within us. If you are in the area, we invite you to worship with us this coming Lord’s Day. We would love to get to know you and your family!
